WHO WE ARE

SkySpecs envisions a world where wind energy is the most affordable form of electricity and therefore ubiquitous around the world. SkySpecs is helping to make this possible by automating the operations and maintenance of wind farms using advanced robotics paired with our custom-built asset performance management software, Horizon.

SkySpecs launched the world’s first completely autonomous blade inspection product in 2016 with a custom designed drone system. Since then, SkySpecs has inspected over 25,000 wind turbines in over 16 countries, becoming the world leader in understanding the health of turbine blades. Identifying issues with turbine blades is only the first step. In 2019 SkySpecs launched Horizon to be a platform for SkySpecs to offer a multi-layered solution for customers that includes: data collection, wind turbine blade engineering expertise, and a place for all stakeholders to collaborate to manage and analyze massive amounts of data, spot trends, and create plans for high-cost repair campaigns. Ultimately, this will help reduce the cost and risk of operations for the industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The People + Culture Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of our team, while also supporting People + Culture projects and the organization as a whole.

Some of the daily responsibilities are to:

  • Be committed to building our culture and supporting internal activities and events
  • Carry out administrative functions, manage office vendors, support workplace events, and handle day-to-day tasks to keep the office running smoothly
  • Help manage benefits administration for US and Europe based employees
  • Maintain accurate employee records and information
  • Assist with building out the SkySpecs wiki page to communicate helpful information
  • Help source and qualify candidates for technical abilities and alignment with SkySpecs’ mission and values
  • Support People + Culture team with reference-checking and process improvement
  • Ensure all company policies are updated, applied and consistent
  • Respond to inbound employee inquiries and identify needs
  • Assist with candidate tracking + new employee onboarding

SKILLS YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or 2+ years’ relevant experience
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Can demonstrates an all-hands on deck attitude with a willingness to support each team as needed
  • Communicates with clarity, empathy and accuracy – both with hiring manages, fellow employees and prospective candidates
  • Is passionate about process management and the ability to stay on top of details

EXTRAS

  • Be full-time and based in SkySpecs’ Ann Arbor office
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth startup environment within the tech industry
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and candidate review processes
